 A Tale of Two Friends

There were two friends. They lived in a particular village. They promised together that they would help each other at the time of any danger. One day they were passing through a deep terrible forest. Suddenly a hungry bear was coming in front of them thinking them prey. So both of them were afraid and frightened and was thinking what to do. One of them knows to climb a tree. He at once climbed a tree and hide himself. The other friend, found no alternatives, fell on the ground, and held his breath, pretending to be a dead man. The bear came up to him and smelt his eyes, nose, ears, face and chest. Took him to be a dead man the bear left the place a few moments later. When the bear went away, the first friend in the tree came down and said, "Thank God that you are saved and ok. But my friend, I saw the bear put its mouth very closely to your ear. Did it say anything secret to you?” The friend replied. "Yes, the bear told me not to trust a friend who left a friend in danger to seek his own safety."

Moral: A friend in need is a friend indeed.
