TEA
The most common beverage made from tea leaves is tea. It is the most popular beverage right now. Tea is consumed by almost every man, rich or poor, young or old, at least once a day.
The tea plant is an evergreen shrub. It has green leaves all year. China, Indonesia, Japan, India, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh are the fastest-growing markets. Tea gardens can be found in Bangladesh's hilly areas of Sylhet and Chittagong.
It is grown on sloping ground to prevent rainwater from standing. It requires a lot of sunshine and rain. Plants are planted in four to six-foot rows.
However, it is permitted to grow three to four feet tall in the tea garden. The first leaves are harvested when the tea plants are about four years old. The plants continue to produce leaves until they are ten years old. Tea made from old leaves does not taste good. The best kind comes from young and tender leaves.
Three times a year, the leaves are plucked. The first plucking occurs in April, the second in June, and the third in July. The best tea comes from the first plucking. The second plucking yields more leaves but less flavor. The third plucking's leaves are coarse.
The green leaves are spread out in shallow baskets or mats after being plucked. They are rolled over with machines after they have dried. The leaves are then spread out on a moist room's floor. When the color of the leaves shifts from green to copper, they are transferred to a hot-air room. They become dry, black, and brittle there. As a result, the leaves are ready for use.
Tea is a tasty beverage. It revitalizes us and relieves our fatigue. It is a popular beverage all over the world.
