Uses and Abuses of Mobile Phones

We all have a smartphone or a mobile phone with us. It allows us to communicate with relatives or friends who are not physically close to us. The invention of the mobile phone was a huge scientific success.

Though the primary functions of a mobile phone are to make calls and send messages, it can also be used for other purposes. In addition to calls and messages, the mobile phone can be used as a calculator, camera, voice recording device, audio, video player, and so on. It can also be used to browse the internet.

Without a doubt, the mobile phone has altered our way of life; however, there are some abuses of the mobile phone, or we could say that there are some disadvantages of mobile phones.

According to a recent survey, more than 35% to 40% of road accidents worldwide are caused by the use of mobile phones while driving. That is a major issue.

Again, some students abuse their cellphones, contributing to social pollution. However, the radiations emitted by mobile phones and their towers are extremely hazardous to our health.
